'Tis The Season

With the last of the league matches upon us and training all done for 2023, it's time to shift the focus.

Don't worry, your regularly scheduled hockey will be back in the New Year on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th January. Keep your eyes peeled for what 2024 has to offer.

We have our annual Santas Vs Elves on Saturday 16th December - all tickets must be purchased by midnight on Wednesday 13th - less than a week away now.

£5 to play - you must be a current member and be over 13 to play

£5 for the party - this includes food and whatever else the social team come up with, and is open to all.

We need a couple of volunteers to make a dessert or two - contact a member of the social team for info.

It's also time for a lil extra compassion, if you can spare it. Sonia Knight (mama to the OG Katie Knight) runs a local charity called Community Kindness Thanet. She organises, collects, and donates gifts to referred families and those in need. This is a recent post from their Facebook page...

"We’ve reached a milestone today. A milestone that I never in my wildest imagination considered would be necessary. A milestone that fills my heart with sadness that we have reached.

As of today, we have had more than 900 people from over 250 families referred for support this Christmas. These are figures that should not be needed but the reality is that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I’m expecting this number to continue to rise in the coming days and I am so truly grateful to each and every one of you for the support you relentlessly give, time and time again, whenever I ask.
